Calliope is the Vice President of the Superno Student Council, a chronic perfectionist and purveyor of hairclips. He's the child of a cat person and a Deep Hadalan, though he takes much more after his mother. He was chosen as the Vice President by Juoni after having been roommates for a time. Calliope is exceedingly self confident, believing himself above everyone except for the Council, who he considers equal to him, and Juoni, who he considers above him. He is catty and likes to gossip, easily making friends at Superno through his charming and friendly demeanor, but as he doesn't consider any of them his equals, he refuses to be genuine with them. He has a tendency to become obsessive over things he wants, and will work himself to exhaustion until he achieves his goals. He has a hard time resisting temptation, but is good at keeping secrets.
Calliope suffers from clinical depression, but opts to ignore it rather than do something about it. He is very self-sacrificng because he fears he is ultimately useless, and if a mistake threatens his self confidence he tends to become neurotic about doing things right and will stress himself to the point of self injury. Calliope still believes himself above others despite this, citing that everyone is their own worst critic, and that with great perfection comes great effort. (And no, he does not see the irony in this statement.)
Calliope loves cute things and collects hair clips. He also loves coffee but hates anything bitter in taste, so he usually buys overly expensive and overly sweetened coffee. He is in love with the Council President, Juoni, having met him after watching a solo performance of his and later being assigned his roommate.
