Nebula was born in Hoenn, specifically Fortree City and she grew up admiring Winona and her beaiutiful Altaria. She couldn't wait until she turned 10 so she could go on her own journey to defeat all of the gyms with her buddy Cuddle, a small Swablu her parents gifted her once they noticed her interest in Altaria, deciding the smaller pre-evolution would wreack less havoc. Nebula was a happy kid, a bit introverted, but she still made friends easily thanks to Cuddle's happy-go-lucky attitude.

Unfortunately Nebula's family had to move to Hammerlocke in Galar when she was 8 because of a work opportunity for her father. Nebula never really liked Hammerlocke, it was too different from her dear Fortree City where Cuddle had tons of other Swablu friends. She disliked it so much she hardly ever went outside and pretended she was still in Fortree City, which is how she ended up watching various Gym Challengers on TV. Her favorite was Nessa, mostly because she was pretty and strong at the same time, closely followed by Raihan but Nebula disliked his habit of constantly taking selfies. She decided she'd take part in the Gym Challange herself when she'd become old enough.

True to her word, when Nebula turned 10 she left her home to take on the Gym Challenge with her Swablu, who started growing darker patches of feathers and whose wings were slightly opalescent. She soon found out the reason of her Swablu's unusual coloration when Cuddle evolved after her first Dynamax battle, it was the energy coming from the Wishing Stars (and Eternatus) stored in Altaria's cotton wings, the pokemon had even changed type to Dragon and Fairy. Unfortunately she never worked up the courage to talk to Nessa or Raihan, even if she's run into the latter after he became Hammerlocke's Gym Leader.

Cuddle often garnered quite the attention given that there weren't any other Altarias in Galar and even those who knew what one looked like, they were surprised by Cuddle's appearance, this led to some unwanted attentions from trainers who wanted to breed for a special Swablu or outright buy Cuddle, in turn Nebula became very protective of her pokemon and refused to accept any offers, no matter the amount of money. Her popularity won her a modeling career and she ended up commissioning an outfit that let her match with Cuddle, which means she won't be able to go back to Fortree City for a long time, but neither her nor Cuddle feel alone anymore, their team is like a family anyway.
