backstory

Early life

Rowans early life was certainly terrible, his mother dying when he was born, leaving Rowan with his father and his numerous elder siblings. His father resented him because he blamed her death all on  Rowan, and even then, Rowan still looked up to his father in his youth.  Rowan had done anything to get his attention, to get him to be proud of  him, but nothing really worked. Rowan was often disregarded and  neglected by his father, by his whole family even! His life was quite a  lonely one.

Rowan used to really like to draw when he was a kid, it was sort of his outlet because he really didn't have anywhere else to show his emotions. The poor boy was often bullied and abused by his own siblings and they too would often ruin his artwork. Now, being reincarnated, he's not really the artist he used to be, but it's noticeable when he's doodling something random.

When Rowan got to the age of 13, he finally ran away  from home because of how much he grew to despise his life, despise his  father, despise his brothers too! They all could go to hell, he was  going to achieve freedom.

Before being killed (and reincarnated)

After having run away, Rowan became homeless, no one wished to take him in so he roamed the streets. As he roamed, he often got into fights he himself started and even got into fights where he'd be paid! He found thrill in showing off his apparent strength, but as he would challenge bigger foes, he'd get more injured and injured and he refused to be helped.

Rowan, though somewhat aggressive, helped people from time to time due to him not totally being a terrible person. He tried, y'all.

Over time, Rowan became uglier and grosser, he really didn't take care of himself and it showed. Broken bones that healed wrong, teeth missing, hair a total mess, it was surprising how he'd survived for so long looking like this. But thankfully, oh thankfully, he found a friend in a Bisharp by the name of Minerva. Minerva literally dragged his sorry ass into her home and gave him a bath and some food. This had been the first kindness Rowan had seen in a while, so, he often came back on his own accord, though Minerva still dragged him into her home to get him and his stinky hair all clean. They were quickly each others first ever friends. Nice :>

One day though, after he promised Minerva he would stop getting into fights with bigger pokemon, he didn't keep up with that promise. He was simply a liar. Rowan got into a fight with a Nidoking, and was quickly taken down by his foe and then he was left to die. And he did die, he died young and alone.

Relationships

Eleanor  [ Friend/Love Interest ]

Eleanor is one of the first people for Rowan to meet in Yuracle, and the way they met... ooof...
Basically, Rowan got thrown through one of her windows and even if he was a stranger she still insisted she patched him up, and he let her. Eleanor somewhat reminds him of Minerva, the non narcissistic side of her at least.
Very kind, very lovely, and he really has definitely taken a liking to dear ol Eleanor.

Kaori  [ Friend/Mother-figure]

Ever since they've gotten to this new world, Rowan cant understand why this woman wont stop being so nice and motherly to him. She doesn't even know him! Rowan truly hasn't even known the love of a mother either way.

But in all truth Kaori over here just wants the best for our boy, seeing how troubled he is. Slowly but surely he finally respects her and is rather nice to her.

Minerva  [ Best Friend ]

Rowans dear ol friend from his life before, and man he's surprised she's here too. He didn't think her a bad person, but apparently the gods did.

When seeing her again.. it...wasn't ideal. Minerva, out of anger because she herself knows that he died and came here, she punched him. She was angry. Rightfully so. Dude didn't listen to her and look! now they're both here!

Either way, eventually, their relationship heals and they can return to being best friends again. Minerva is just as she always was, and Rowan certainly finds that refreshing due to him always having to be near his obnoxious teammates.

Aimilios  [ Father ]

It seems as if a lot of people Rowan knew from his past life are in this world, including Aimilios!

Rowan doesn't know he's here until a very specific special quest where his and his fathers team (along with others) have to come together to do a specific task.

Afterwards, whenever Rowan sees Aimilios, he looks to him with disgust and hatred. He;s incredibly jealous of how he treats Nozomi as his son, when his actual son is right here!

The dudes not aware that Aimilios feels a heavy amount of guilt for what he's done to his son, but Rowan hasn't let him get near him so that he can properly apologize.

(Their relationship gets better I promise it just takes a lot of time, Rowan really needs to heal and to process stuff. He's not going to easily forgive his father for what he did to him.)
