Verenheim Lore

Verenheim is an island near the Capital on which werewolves and vampires live. The two groups have split the island in half, and they both have an intense racial hatred for one another. This stems from the fact that there was a war over feeding rights, with the vampires and the werewolves vying for domination over the rights to feed on humans. The war left extremely bitter relations between werewolves and vampires. There are a number of small groups that rally for peace, but ultimately the protests are too small and too widely unaccepted that they don't really work at all.

"Rules" of this verse

-Werewolves have ears set on the sides of their heads where one's ears would normally be. They appear similar to a combination of wolf and human ears and possess the ability to swerve up and down.

-Werewolves have tails in their human form, provided their beast form has a tail as well.

-Werewolves can turn other humanoids into werewolves should they feel inclined to do so, unless the victim is a shapeshifter, in which case they are immune to the "disease".

-Most werewolves have a beastly bipedal wolf form, which they can speak in. Some have quadrupedal wolf forms, though these werewolves cannot speak in their wolf form.

-Werewolves become "fully charged" during a full moon, however unlike some stereotypes perpetuate, werewolves can shapeshift any time of the month and is not reserved for when the moon is full. Most werewolves become more reckless and hyper during a full moon.

-Werewolves are weak to silver, and touching it will cause a burning sensation. However, it is usually not fatal unless they are exposed for a prolonged period of time, except in the case of silver bullets, which kill werewolves most of the time.
