- 'runaway' princess of a fallen kingdom
- feels partly responsible for the deaths of the king and queen (she heard rumours about what was going to happen but said nothing to either of them on the grounds that they were false)
- sailfish, but her dorsal fin is missing (she has a scar down her back where it should be - she doesn't talk about this even when asked directly about it)
- dresses as a high-ranking guard from her kingdom (with her own personal touches, eg the boots/shorts, frills)
- no sense of direction whatsoever
- friendly and polite, but not afraid to argue her opinion if it clashes with someone else's (her arguments can sometimes be childish)
- moves like a dancer with her sword
- temporarily acting as Xain's bodyguard while Blade is assigned to other work (she was not fitted for a uniform as she requested to keep her own - usually this wouldn't be allowed but an exception was made in her case)
- gets along well with the prince and tries to encourage him to pass his time in more productive ways than waiting for a text from his boyfriend
- has plans to return to her kingdom eventually, though she believes the damage is irreparable
- originally travelled with a guard from her old kingdom (Mason), but they parted ways after an argument and he turned back, leaving Freya to find her own way
