His mother was 17 when he was born and his father was not in their lives. His mother remarried when he was 5 years old and Minh considers his step dad to be his true dad. His childhood was a joyous one, his parents loved him very much and he loved all his half-siblings. When he graduated school he decided he wanted to move to Vancouver and become an model. His parents allowed it as long as he went to post secondary.So Minh went to cosmetology school in Vancouver. All while trying to apply to agencies and promoting himself. When he was 21 he met his future wife and they began dating. They would get married when Minh was 24 but would divorce 5 years later. During that time Minh worked as a make-up artist at a beauty store, while trying to apply to agencies. He has been living on his own for 1 year since the divorce and has not found any luck when it comes to becoming a model.
