Overview:
Since the seven years passed where a bulk of the Guild was thought dead, Frea's personality has changed drastically from how the Guild remembered her (and from the non-AU Frea).

She is no longer the bright, fun-loving person she once was. She's grown colder, more subdued, and perhaps even a bit more unhinged- the seven years were unkind to her in so, so many ways and she's ceased being any semblance of cheery. She's also seemed to grow a bit uninterested in other people, and doesn't get worked up over anything at all.... in reality it seems like she doesn't much care about anything anymore.

Which of course is not true, she still does care for the Guild and the people in it- deeply- but she can't show it outwardly anymore and she does her best to distance herself from everyone and keep them at arms length. 

Because Fairy Tail fell into such disarray and debt after the members on Tenrou disappeared, she threw herself into working near nonstop just to provide income for the Guild, and didn't care to live her own life. She paid little mind to her own health, happiness and whatever- and pushed things further than she should have time and time again.... resulting in injuries that accumulated over the seven years (and the resulting scars all over her body). 

But despite working all the time, she was fairly content in her life once she partnered up with a woman named Chess. The two of them eventually fell in love and they cared for one another deeply, and Chess helped Frea to take care of herself more than she ever would have on her own- and was the only one in the Guild (besides her younger brother Corbynn) that was unafraid to bud heads with Frea and tell her off.

Frea hit a rough patch after Chess was killed by a Dark Guild, and ceased caring about herself or what happened to her nearly entirely. Soon after this occurred, she faced Mordren and defeated him- but fought the battle without the intention of living through it. 

Since then she's become even more distant from other people, and only really allows herself to be bossed around by Corbynn. 

She's the ultimate powerhouse in the Guild and everyone concedes to her and her judgment in matters of what the Guild should do.... up until Master Makarov returns, but even then those who were left behind listen to her word.

She's also a permenant busy body, and has a hard time relaxing or not working or anything of the sort.

Magic:

Energy  Magic is a form of Lost Magic that was very prevalent during the earlier  years of the world, and was once widely used by many Mages and Wizards  in the time of the Dragons, and before. Not much is known of the Magic  as it was thought lost during the years of the Great Dragon War, and all  Mages able to use it were killed or otherwise disappeared- with the  exception of Chaitanya, the Energy Dragon, who being a Dragon herself  survived the war and went in to hiding along with the likes of Igneel,  Grandeeney, Metalicana, Weisslogia and Skiadrum.

Energy Magic was  not seen again for several centuries, having no Mages able to use it-  or anyone having previously learned it- Energy Magic fell from existence  and is not known to nearly anyone in the World. It is seldom mentioned  in History Recordings of the World, all documentation existing on the  Magic seems to have been destroyed or altogether lost. The true reason  for the Magic disappearing from nearly all knowledge remains unknown.

It  wasn't until around the year x770, when a young girl named Frea was  found alone in the streets of Magnolia- and subsequently found by Guild  Master of Fairy Tail, Makarov Dreyer- that Energy Magic was seen again  in the world. Frea was the only known Energy Mage in all of Fiore, and  in all the rest of the world until she eventually took a student on  under her wing- and trained him to use Energy Magic as well.

Energy  Magic has a hard time being truly explained, as it is very complex and  very much about how the way it works is still very much unknown. It was  mentioned by Chaitanya, the Energy Dragon herself, and perhaps the one  true 'Master' of the Magic as such; "Energy Magic is a beautiful, and  dangerous thing. It's mysterious in its own ways, and none of us, even  me, can ever truly understand it."

Energy Magic, is based upon  one's spirit, ones soul. An Energy Mage's magic depends on their soul,  their heart. Not everyone can learn it, it is extremely difficult to  learn to project one's very own life Energy. If you wish to use this  Magic, you have to have a very large supply of Magic Energy, or the  Magic would be useless to you.

There are very few set in stone  Spells that Energy Mages can use- in most cases Energy Mages make and  produce their own Spells for their own needs and purposes. It is a very  versatile, and fickle Magic, and the limits of what it can do are  unknown- but what has been seen of the Magic in the hands of Frea, Chase  and Mordren alike is extensive, and sometimes terrifying.

Frea  is the Energy Dragon Slayer- meaning her Magic is Dragon Slayer Magic  with the Element of Energy. She has many Spells in common with the other  Dragon Slayers (such as Roars, Wing Slash, etc...), and a handful of  other specialized Spells specific to her battle style and Magic.
