Despite their differing personalities, Lucas and his brother are quite close. Lucas' energy helps to draw his shier brother out of his shell, and Elmore's steadiness means that he winds up serving as a voice of reason for Lucas when he starts overthinking.
Mellie is moreso a friend by proxy, being closer with Elmore than with Lucas. Nevertheless, the two are on friendly terms, to the point that Lucas has developed a bit of a crush on his brother's energetic friend. He's doing his best to keep it subtle, not yet sure if he wants to do anything and a bit wary of messing up their friendship.
One of Lucas' classmates, he and Thea pretty much became friends on sight. They have an inexplicable way of bouncing off each other's energy which means both that they understand each other well and are quite the force to be reckoned with.
