Exsolutus

"I covet nothing. I love, nothing. I am nothing."

Exsolutus is the physical manifestation and weaponization of Kalinst’s soul. As such, he resembles him in almost every single way save a few key details; the scar as noted above, and the spiraling ram horns, which are a denotation to the corruption of Shadows that Kalinst suffers, a trait-enhancing parasitic magic that he was infected with.

Exsolutus does not always necessarily take on a humanoid or adult form- it has been known to also resemble a large hound, a small child, or sometimes even inanimate objects such as a glass sphere or a grimoire.

Switches between male and female interchangeably and has a preference for neither (physical). Has no preference for pronouns, or much of anything to be quite honest.

Exsolutus has been known to wander off on their own, completing menial tasks and the like. However, if they wander too far from the host body- an approximated three mile radius- they begin to deteriorate.

After Kalinst was murdered, a close friend and wielder of fey magic tried to forcibly remove the parasitic magic known as Shadows from his body, before reanimating him. While overly successful, because they were so entwined with the Soulmancer’s, well, soul, the high elf lost a good chunk of it to Exsolutus. Because of this, Kalinst and Exsolutus are now two separate entities.
