Lina Hayabusa is a ninja originating from the Leaf Village. She has a quiet and calculating personality, forever accompanied by distrust and disdain for those that do not understand the repercussions of their actions. She excels at assassination, rarely phased when taking the life of another. Her cold demeanor has only gotten so bad due to everything she had gone through as a child. - Backstory (Wip)
- The Hayabusa village - where she grew up with her older brother - was attacked by Orochimaru. The reasons as to why remain unclear but assumptions are because the clan was mixing with too many bloodlines to overcome their weaknesses. The Hayabusa's genetics were focused mainly in the ridiculous strength of their bones and muscles, being nigh unbreakable and tearable. However, because of the uniqueness of their trait, they lacked in ninjutsu and chakra control. They were the ultimate punching bags.
On rare occasions, the Hayabusa bloodline would be accompanied by a Kekkei Genkai, namely the ability to implant specific taijutsu instructions in their teammates to execute flawless combos in combat. Combos usually strong enough to finish a fight. This ability alone is one of the reasons why the Hayabusa were considered genius tacticians on the battlefield. This ability could turn even a losing battle. The combos created are highly dependent on the skill level of the user, the teammate and the enemy. Therefor, intimate knowledge of all three is required and thus would be a gamble when facing an enemy unknown to them. The same can be said for any new teammates the Hayabusa has yet to gauge.
Lina's father, the leader of the clan; Ryu Hayabusa, fell in love with a Uchiha woman named Sandy Uchiha. She was a strong, affectionate woman with too much love to give to her children, but exceptionally stern when it came to the training of them. Lina was the youngest of the two siblings, her brother Ken Hayabusa being 3 years older. Her mother started training them when they were roughly 3 years old, a ridiculous young age. Due to this, they had a very clear understanding of what was expected of them, how much they had to do, how fast they had to learn and how useful it was to them in the future. By the age of 6, Lina could perfectly throw a kunai and bend it to however she willed it. Her first ninjutsu, to her parents surprise, she learned when she turned 7. She had secretly been training with her brother to surprise her parents.
A few months after Lina's 7th birthday, the Hayabusa massacre occured. She was there when Orochimaru killed her parents, and somehow she managed to escape the purge. This was also the night when she got her Sharingan. She fled Konoha and ran towards Kumo, the guards were weary at first. But they knew of the bloodlines and her Sharingan would prove most useful to them, so they took her in.
Lina long believed she was the only one to survive the massacre, but quite a few years later she found out that her brother also yet lived. The first time she actually saw her brother again was when she took the Chuunin exam in Konoha. Much to her surprise, the death of their family hit him even harder than it hit her. The kind and sentimental brother she had was replaced with an emotionless weapon that destroyed anything in its path. He still had a soft spot for his sister, despite that his expressions betrayed nothing. He needed to protect her, and he felt about that strongly because he couldn't protect his parents or his sister when they needed him to.
At the age of 11, Lina got assigned a suicide mission by the Raikage to 'assassinate the Hokage'. Lina was no fool and refused said mission for the obvious reason. She was uninterested in destroying her home and her memories simply because of the insatiable need for power from the Raikage. Besides, it's not like she could even if she did. She figured if he didn't have a need of her anymore and would send her to her death, might as well make a run for it and try building up a new life elsewhere. And thus she fled once more, back to Konoha.
