Bastard prince of Luxeon, Rowen will do anything to prove himself a worthy heir to his mother's throne. A powerful necromancer, he already should have proven himself plenty, if his military victories weren't always dampened by those of his sworn rival at war: Florian Cevelt of the kingdom of Cevelt.
To cope, he exchanges letters with his accidental (And unwilling, but he's gone too far to turn back now) penpal, Rhys. With war on the horizon against an enemy far greater than even Luxeon and Cevelt combined... Rowen just wants to make sure Rhys is safe.
Well, he won't have to worry if he and Florian kill each other before the war's even begun.
