Wandering Librarian
Cleric
A Kalashtar "Cleric," Calix was exiled from their monestary for crimes of faith, and they would do anything to return. At night, they walk the world of dreams with something, some one else, unable to remember a thing upon waking. These days they wander, searching for books and ways to return, as well as that part of them that has been missing all this time.
Calix wants to talk about anyone’s past but their own. With a passion for religious history and a habit of collecting rare books in their handy-dandy bottomless briefcase (it opens up to an expansive stained-glass library within), Calix doesn’t want anyone’s company but the moon’s. Regardless, company (and trouble!) has a bad habit of finding them.
Calix often comes off as irritable, especially when interrupted in their reading, but underneath layers of clothing and sleep-deprived crankiness, they’re kind-hearted to a fault. They can’t resist the urge to help anyone they find in need - often to their own detriment - and their sarcastic tendencies fail to hide their never-ending patience for aiding and teaching others.
- Calix worships the moon - and they have the rock to show for it. It's a religious emblem, they swear.
- A chronic insomniac, they prefer the nighttimes anyways. It's others who don't understand the proper schedule of the day. As such, they have little patience for "morning people"
- Their staff is lit by a mini-moon, and it changes with the moon's phases. It never goes out, though.
- They don't like children, and they don't like animals. All tiny creatures have done is destroy their books, and they treasure their library far too much for that.

Stars above. Lycoris is the most infuriating individual Calix has ever run across, mostly because they can't deal with how deeply they respect him.
He's incredibly clever, a vertiable font of knowledge, and the rare times they work together, it's absolutely brilliant. Now if only Lycoris weren't the smirking face behind half of Calix's problems, and working for some rather unsavory means, Calix thinks they might just get along.
ALSO, calix would like to stop being kicked out of local establishments just for looking like this smarmy bastard, please. They've never done anything wrong in their life. Ok, well, maybe one or two wrong things. But not enough to deserve this!!
Dusty and Calix have been friends ever since they dragged Calix out of a rather tight spot in the desert.
They differ a bit in the ways they prefer to go about things, but overall, Calix just wants to do right by Dusty! They deserve better than what life's thrown at them, and Calix is determined to ensure that better days are to come. They owe Dusty, after all.
