Francel is from a continent where the gods do not openly identify their presence and rule, so to put it in a way the citizens live in a slightly more "modern" aspect.
Most people don't really think about them and some just don't think they exist at all.
Francel, despite not ever seeing one in real life yet, is different and is known as a maniac in his town.
He has dedicated his life to spreading knowledge about Czylphs while expressing their image in his artwork (and merchandise) and has now began travelling the world in search of them.
The costume he wears is hand-made, and the markings on it is a real talisman drawn by a mage as a protection ward.
his ultimate dream -other than meeting a real czylph-, is to hold one of their tiny feet in his hand. just once.
