Platinum

platinum is a quiet man, formerly from earth. an alien abduction--and subsequent rescue later--had him finding a new life within the galactic union. he lives in a coastal town on sol but spends a lot of time travelling to discover and study new aquatic xenofauna.
he volunteers to teach at various colleges within union territories along his travels, and despite his antisocial nature, enjoys teaching students about his field. when not busy with work, he's hanging out with his small group of friends or tending to his numerous aquariums.

while he appears aloof and uncaring, platinum has a gentle spirit and a lot of kindness for those he's fond of. he isn't the most chatty but if coaxed to talk about his passions, prepare for a lecture. he's fairly good at keeping his quick temper under wraps, but every now and then he slips.
he doesn't enjoy being angry or hurting others, and in turn keeps himself fairly withdrawn to prevent the oppertunity. despite this, he's made a few close friends and keeps an amicable relationship with colleagues.
