Darius lives a peculiar existence as a werewolf, wielding sorcery in one hand and an ancient tome in the other. It's a rather cruel fate in a world hostile to werewolves, yet Darius never let the whole Lycanthropy thing get in the way of his work as a scholar, even if he is trapped in a canine form. He's a gentle and kind and gentle soul trapped as a magically-adept werewolf who professes a passion for learning and all things academic. An encounter with mysterious assailants left him stabbed with a dagger tainted with ancient Lycanthropy and left to die.
Darius gradually came to take his new form in stride, seeing it as a another thing to live with, continuing his research and studies, this time as a drifter. Sometimes his form helped him avoid unnecessary conflicts while other times it only attracted them. Stangely, Darius lacks much of the raw brute force Werewolves are known for; instead, he relies on his spells and mind games. Though Darius would encounter persons and settlements more accepting on his appearance, he wanders about in sorcerer robes and cloak to conceal his looks from hateful eyes.

PERSONALITY

Despite being a magical creature that supposively lives off of primal, carnal instincts, Darius is an intelligent and sensible being, favoring settling matters through words rather than action. As a scholar from Auralis, he is knowledgable in a multitude of topics and has an eternal thirst for learning. He is a very gentle and kind being, often doing his best to be considerate and to help whoever is in need, though he is not the best at navigating social tightropes. One should not assume he will never resort to the latter, as for what he lacks in brawn he makes up in brains, having an arsenal of magical spells at his disposal, combined with quick thinking can render him as a dangerous opponent. Despite his timid optimism, he often interally wonders if the insults are true, that he has no place in the world or in anybody's heart.
