Bellamy

Bellamy was once a mother cat who was killed by superstitious villagers. In his next life, he happened to be born in that same village. As he got older, he would wander into a nearby clearing in the woods where the village buried their dead, and he would talk to the spirits here. He quickly learned he could use magic, much to the scorn of his family. Eventually the village elder discovered Bellamy's abilities and he was cast out. His family was upset and tried to vouch for him, but Bellamy refused their help and left willingly. After wandering on his own a bit, Bel encountered the Cavinti Order. They were a group of various Mages who traveled the world, seeking to gain power for themselves. When the Order heard about Bellamy's tragic past life, they offered to bring his killers to justice. Bellamy refused. He did not seek revenge. He just wanted to learn to be a better mage, and stop tragic misunderstandings from happening in the future, if possible. After multiple citizens went missing from a mining town, the Vales arrived to help solve the case. They quickly discovered the Cavinti Order was behind the disappearances and resolved to attack them. After a harsh battle, all members of the Order were killed, aside from Bellamy who surrendered. He explained to the Vales he only joined the Order in the first place because he had nowhere else to turn and mages were unwelcome most places. They were slow to trust him, but eventually he proved himself to be their ally when he saved Prince Fraybel from a Myrish assassin. Since this occurence, Bellamy and Fray have become good friends.
