Well, first of all I'd say they'd be a main team member in my RPG.
Second of all…Let's give them a reason why there are patches of skin that look way off compared to others.
Lily once worked for the Blazing Dixon casino. Money was tight for her, so she needed a job nearby her home to at least put food on the table. She worked as a blackjack dealer. However, as a dealer, she ran a high risk: She saw incompetent dealers like the one at the poker table who lost way too many chips get taken to the back room. They were never seen again.
One day, a cheater came into the casino, always going all in, beating Lily at blackjack through the use of other people's assistance.
When the day was over, Lily tried to bail early, until she was caught by the Blazing Dixon, and dragged into the back room.
There, she saw an incinerator, to which she knew she would be burned alive.
She was tossed in, and the pain was EXCRUCIATING. She could feel herself slowly slipping away as the Blazing Dixon chuckles and leaves the room, locking the door behind him.
She was about ready to accept death, until…
"This is not your time. You still have a chance…"
Something inside her told her to persist…So she kicked the incinerator hatch, again and again, harder and harder with every kick. She noticed her clothes were gone, and the fire was starting to cook her alive.
Finally, she leaned back, and used both of her legs at full force. The hatch came off completely, as the flames erupted from the new hole she made, jumping out of the furnace.
She saw Blazing Dixon lock the door, so she knew not to go out that way. For all she knew, he might have been one step ahead of her and guarded that exit. That's why she pounded on the side of the walls until they gave out, and her hands were all bruised. She made her way through the cracks she made, until she was finally outside again. She kept running for her life, not wanting to die now that she has held on for this long...
When she meets the team, the team goes expressionless. Even though the burn marks had patched over, she could only find leaves to cover herself up. One expressionless girl just walks up and gives Lily the extra set of clothes that she packed for herself just in case.
After she gets dressed again, she joins the team, yet has clear PTSD of the Blazing Dixon Casino.
Of course, during the climax of the first ark (Darkness ark), the main team all learns how to face their fears, in which Lily's is the casino.
As the team is separated from her, skeleton waiters soon figure out who she is, chasing after her. After a brief chase scene, she bumps directly into the Blazing Dixon, who immediately has her restrained for the team to see.
Turns out this little "facing your fears" stunt sort of backfired.
The team then proceeds to gamble their lives as the Blazing Dixon readies their specialized Soul Extractor.
The game is Roulette. A ball will roll onto the spinner. If it lands on a red space, a team member's soul gets extracted. If it lands on a black space (since the skeletons and Blazing Dixon has no soul), the team proceeds to use a creation of their own, called the Grand Slam, which will strike a skeleton across the room so hard, they'll go to pieces. If it lands on 0 (a green space), a team member gets their soul back. If it lands on 00 (another green space on the opposite side of 0), a skeleton is reconstructed. This goes on until every team member (including Lily) loses their soul or Blazing Dixon gets the Grand Slam. A boss battle where luck is your only weapon.
Once the players finally win and give Blazing Dixon his comeuppance, the amount of destruction the extractor and Grand Slam are doing is enough to cause the casino to collapse. Knowing this makes Lily relieved, as she slowly makes a recovery throughout the series.
In battles, Lily mainly specializes in Physical attacks, meaning her bare fists. However, her MP3 player can cause a lot of status ailments depending on what music she plays. Lullabies cast the Sleep Ailment, Reggae cleanses allies of the Fear ailment, "I will Survive" boosts all stats for all allies, "His Theme" from Undertale (Toby Fox) revives all incapacitated allies, nature/river sounds heal allies, and "Baby Shark" from Pinkfong instantly kills enemies (however, this only plays 0.1% of the time).
