Summary

Riahl is from Hammerfell, near Dragonstar.  She left home at about 25 to study at the Arcane University in Cyrodiil. Around seven years later, she becomes involved in the Main Quest during The Path of Dawn quest, when Kurog and Andriel come to the University looking for the Mythic Dawn Commentaries. Riahl wanted to tag along because she's VERY intrigued by the magical ramifications of Oblivion Gates opening up, and shes's a Hands-On learner and wants to see it all up close. Since neither of the boys have as much magical expertise as Riahl, she's a very valuable addition to the team! 

After the Crisis, Riahl and the rest of the gang go to the Shivering Isles on a "Our Friend Blew Up And People Won't Stop Asking Us About It" vacation. While theyre in the isles, Riahl mostly occupies herself with investigating the grummites and the unique plants and magic in the Isles. Around the time that Kurog becomes Duke of Mania, Riahl and Andriel attempt to convince him to leave the Isles, to no avail. 

After leaving the Isles, Andriel and Riahl get into a pretty big argument, since tensions are high as they've lost two very dear friends in awful ways in a relatively short period of time. They wind up separating; Riahl meets Sir Mazoga on her way back through Leyawiin, and after completing her quest, they decide to stick together.

Riahl eventually becomes Archmage, and she and Andriel wind up apologizing to each other and stay lifelong friends. She and Mazoga never OFFICALLY get married, but they're in love and grow old together. In their old age, they settle in Anvil; Riahl enjoys advising younger mages because it’s fun to see what ideas kids come up with. Mazoga will occasionally help to train young adventurers; she is very strict, but if you get through her lessons you’ll be set up pretty well!

Riahl is very interested in experimental magic and is curious almost to the point of excess. Creative, she doesn't care if the spells she creates have practical applications, just that she made them work! She can be a bit distractable because she has a lot of ideas.
