History
BackstoryAelis doesn't remember a time where she could see, always having to navigate the world by touch and sound. Her family was very protective of her due to this and wanted her to stay close to home to help with their business; it would be safer for her, the world is too dangerous they would tell her. Aelis, however, wanted to do something more with her life. She didn't want to be stuck here her entire life, she knew she was capable of more. In the dead of the night, she crept away from her former life to make her way to the capital city of Ellara to become an adventurer.
She spent a lot of time hitchhiking with whoever would have her, and took this opportunity to learn to fight any monsters happened her way along her journey. It's extremely rough going however, and it leaves her with many scars to show for it. She did eventually make her way to Ellara, but given the fact that she had next to nothing, she wasn't able to pay for the professional training she so desperately wanted.
Devastated but still determined, she finds odd jobs to do, and spends any free time fighting monsters she finds in the woods, but she is frustrated; no matter how much she fought, her lack of sight made it feel impossible to have any upper hand against her combatant.
Things would change when she heard a voice in the woods one day. "Young one, you suffer without your sight. Will you sign a pact with me so that you can be stronger? In doing so, you must tell me of what you see with your newfound powers."
This was an opportunity she couldn't refuse. In a heartbeat, she accepted the pact.
Other InformationShe is completely blind, and has been since birth.
Once she sets her mind to something, she is dead set on accomplishing it no matter what anyone else says, especially if it will make her stronger in the long run.
Making friends rather than enemies is something she strives to do, always. She tries to avoid conflict and end arguments quickly if at all possible. She feels it's best to get along otherwise everyone suffers more.
She has met many people on her travels that she tries to keep in contact with no matter how far they may be.
She hates relying on others and tries to stay as independent as possible. She will ask for help if she must, but otherwise tries to do it alone first and foremost.
