Thea's parents were born and raised in the city of Kanamaca, where the two went to school together and eventually married after graduating high school and rekindling a relationship in college. The two started their life in their home city, buying a nice house and living comfortably off their wages as office workers, until Thea was brought into the picture. The two were excited for her arrival, planning everything out to the nines and making sure that the moment she decided to enter the world, she'd be prepared and ready to take on whatever life had in store. The moment she was born, it seemed as if everything was right in the world, the three doing everything and anything they could together despite her parent's demanding jobs. Things were perfect until Thea's mother passed in a car accident on her way home from work, the young girl was only in first grade when the tragedy struck. Both Thea and her father were despondent, the young girl losing her mother and her father losing his wife, his best friend. It became too much for the two of them, and both struggled to support each other through the grief.

While Thea tried to push herself to do well in school to make her late mother proud, her father began to crumble under the weight of his sorrow, turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms when his daughter wasn't looking. Eventually, Thea's father made the rash decision to uproot everything, secretly selling his house from under the two and hiding it from Thea by taking her on a shopping trip, abandoning her in the crowds, and leaving her survival up to fate. Alone in a crowd of strangers with no one to turn to, Thea wandered aimlessly until she was snatched up and thrown into the back of a truck, her kidnappers driving her to the Kanamaca ports to hopefully ship her overseas. Her entire time in the back of that truck was sheer terror, and it truly felt like this would be the last of her, the poor girl doing everything she could to stay alive for as long as possible. It was by sheer luck that Thea was rescued, right at the port, an unrelated bout of crime catching the kidnappers in the crossfire. All Thea can remember is being scooped up by a man with golden eyes, and his voice telling her to hide away until the sounds stopped.

Thea cannot remember much of what happened next, only the faint memory of flashing lights and sirens, and being taken away to a safer location where she could spend the rest of her school years being taught privately. Thea became a shell of her former self, her motivation to do her schoolwork and make friends diminishing greatly. Even after finding a foster home, she still struggled, feeling alone and abandoned by the person she thought she could always turn to. It took many years of therapy after school to help her get her life back on track and remind her who she was living for, and with a renewed sense of purpose, Thea turned her life around and graduated with the highest honors, knowing that she made her mother proud. She then pursued veterinary medicine in collage, getting her doctorate and becoming a vet, moving her practice away from Kanamaca to Alvarna. The new change in atmosphere worked even better for Thea, and currently, she is doing what she loves, trying to not let the shadows of her past haunt her, though she wishes she could tell the golden-eyed man thank you.
