Possum

Possum was born and grew up in a small town near the Shrouded Pines. They were dared by some friends to spend 24 hours in the forest and they accepted this popular challenge. They got lost and found Jay, a young plant wolf that had been dropped by a hawk in the woods. Using the medicinal knowledge they had, Possum helped heal Jay up and taught him what they knew. Possum then decided to part ways with Jay (who wanted to stay in the woods to learn more about the herbs and medicines there) and try to find their way home. Instead of heading out of the woods, they accidentally headed to the centre - where demons reside. They stumbled upon two demons - Glass and Drip.

The demons captured Possum, taking them to the very centre where they called home. Instead of simply killing Possum, the demons chose to toy with the cat. For multiple years the demons have tormented Possum in any way possible all for their twisted idea of fun. This varies from locking Possum up in cages, something they fear, to varying other modes of physical and emotional abuse. The demons also frequently possess Possum, using them as a puppet to carry out attacks and even murders on passers by, to the point where Possum is deemed as one of the demons by travellers. This news isn’t widespread and the town Possum came from is unaware of their fate. While being possessed Possum is able to see what the demons are making them do, but unable to control it.

Possum is very anxious by nature and the abuse they have received from the demons has only worsened this. Before their venture into the woods they were a social, chilled out person who made friends easily and loved to joke and laugh, yet had a soft and caring side, as shown by their care for Jay. Now, however, it’s been years since Possum has seen anyone other than the demons, the wannabe demon who lives with them and the victims the demons possess them to hurt.
