Aekela was born with a defect that prevented her scales from hardening correctly. Because of this, she has to wear bracers on her legs to help support her.

The Force - Manipulation of the mysterious energy field that binds the galaxy together. Aekela is still in training, however she has basic Force control.

Advanced Tracking/Hunting - The Barabel people are renowned for their hunting and tracking abilities. While Aekela was kept underground for most of her life, she still picked up on her people's instincts and practiced tracking on her own. Her heightened Force sense has made her an excellent tracker.

Lightsaber - Aekela has a short hilted, green lightsaber.
