About
Hiwa is a bundle of contradictions in a prim and proper package. She presents a very clean, put together image in bright dresses and perfectly-matched accessories, and certainly works hard to maintain that in her public persona. As a teacher, she loves her students and works hard for them, but the job comes with many stresses. On the inside, she is very persnickety about her coworkers (particularly Hashimoto) for their indecisive natures, favoritism, or the way they snipe at particular students; as she is the youngest member on staff, however, she keeps her head demurely bowed and instead takes her rants home to a cold beer and her mother. She loves horror movies and manga, with a fondness for psychological horror over jump scares, and can be very particular. Hiwa works on occasion helping her mother at the family general store, where a land grab attempt by the Tamashiro family put her in touch with her old classmate Rikiya.

Hiwa has known Rikiya off and on throughout the years as they were in the same year in school. He came back into her life when the Ryudo helped her mother against the Tamashiro family, and while it was not love at first sight, she was very charmed by him.

Hiwa met Mikio when he and Rikiya started hanging around the store, and while her initial impression was amusement, she can see he's very duty-oriented and will see a goal through until the end, as shown when he protected Morning Glory Orphanage.
