Aadvay Akilae's Links
Eirlys and him have been through a lot together. He tries to be a good big brother for her, covering for her whenever he can to the best of his ability. He worries for her, though. Sometimes she gets into too much trouble for her own good.
Aadvay's one of the good older brothers. They're twins, sure, but Aadvay has always been just a bit more mature than her. She's got no issues causing trouble since he rarely tells on her to their parents, but sometimes she thinks he could do to get into a little trouble himself. He's almost too good of a person sometimes.
Aadvay's a mama's boy through and through. He rarely goes against her wishes, and doesn't argue too often. He asks her about his birth parents, oftentimes being disappointed at how little she really knows about either of them. He knows she's a capable business owner and healer, but he has a tendency to treat her like an older woman than she really is.
Lelianne was a little nervous about adopting twin tieflings, but she's watched them grow up with a great deal of pride. She always wanted a big family, and Aadvay makes her job as a working mother a bit easier, since he often wrangles the younger kids for her. She trusts him quite a lot more than her other children, and feels like she puts too much responsibility on him to be more mature than he needs to be.
Gallus and him are good friends. They're both strange kids, but for different reasons. He likes taking Gallus out with him when he's exploring outside the farm, trying to find different shapes for Gallus to learn. While sometimes he can get a little unnerved by Gallus' seemingly endless appetite, he will always happily sneak some treats his way when his mom or dad aren't looking.
Gallus loves Aadvay! He's the one who gives him all sorts of free treats and takes him on little adventures. He's not like the other people in the house. He never sleeps, so Gallus keeps him company until everyone else wakes up.
Aadvay looks up to his uncle a lot, trying to follow a similar code of morals to him. Some of his favorite memories are when he got to stay at his theatre and help out around the place. He wonders what Interesting has gone through, and feels like there's always something he isn't telling him, but doesn't quite know how to confront him about it.
Interesting is happy to see that Aadvay has grown into a fine young man. He wishes he could tell him more about his past- about both of their pasts, really- but he's unsure if Aadvay would understand it all. A part of him wants to keep Aadvay out of the Mervanri family. He's already happy living on the farm, with his loving adopted parents. Interesting doesn't want to drag him into a drama that involves people he will likely never meet.
It's almost comedic how Aadvay doesn't notice the similarities in their appearance. He's had a few encounters with Peculiar, and each time he gets a little closer to piecing together that it's likely not just a coincidence that the tiefling he keeps running into happens to have fluffy light hair and fangs.
Peculiar was far from ready or willing to be a father when Aadvay and Eirlys were born. Considering how they weren't knowingly conceived by him and how their mother kept it a secret from him, he didn't want to ditch them once he found out that they were his. He's done a lot for the two from the shadows, and once they were old enough, he began testing their resilience and skill. He's secretly pretty damn proud of Aadvay. He reminds him a lot of Interesting.
Aadvay can't help but fumble over his words whenever she's around. She's so clever, and skilled, and resourceful, and small -- and -- wait -- she's fated to die, anyway -- and beautiful, and -- she disrespects him. What? He hopes they can spend forever together -- she will --
