Lisa grew up in a privileged affluent family and has been indoctrinated with Catholicism all her life, leading her to be close-minded and sheltered in her childhood. Her parents had also drilled a "Hindi puwede ang puwede na"  mindset into her regarding schoolwork, pressuring Lisa into becoming an honor student consecutively since she was 7 years old. 

Lisa's upbringing caused her to struggle with perfectionism and internalized homophobia, which got worse as the years went by. It was only when she met her partners Darren and Rachel that she got help exploring her own identity and breaking away from the conservative expectations placed onto her by her parents.
