Lysis Avem

King Lysis Avem, the ruler of Arini. 

A prideful and stern harpy, the largest of his flock, strong and confident in his ability. He refuses help from outsiders, attacks humans and elves alike if they enter his territory, which happens to be one of the only ways to access the prestigious desert region. 

Being a harpy, he enjoys blood sport and has particular mating rituals. You will not be able to win him over with tokens of affection, he is only interested in those who can defeat him in combat, he considers those people actually worthy of his time.
