About

Appearance

Zoraii appears as a tall (6’1”) wiry Suthay-raht Khajiit with blue-grey striped fur. They have no fur on their face, palms and soles of their feet. Curiously, their ears curve inward.

They often wear dull purple leather armor. They always are seen with a long blue headband on their head and two rings on their tail, one sporting a blade.

In Daedric form, they sport three horns on their forehead, spines above their eyes, ‘pebbly’ skin under their eyes and across their nose. They have spines on their neck and shoulders, amid more pebbly skin. Their tail turns to a scorpion tail, ala a Winged Twilight.

Personality

Zoraii can best be summed up as chaotic and generally ‘don’t-give-a-fuck’. They are prone to doing things on a whim and even outright endangering themselves, as if they ‘die’, they will reform in Moonshadow. They are loud and outspoken, even liking to make others angry on purpose to see their reaction. They like to freak others out using the knowledge their dreams give them, as they have no right knowing it.

However, they tend to brood when they get upset, refusing to tell all but a select few. When they get truly upset, they tend to be loud about it, lashing out and making a scene. Their feelings towards mortals are mixed; they generally see them as equals but have no qualms about hurting, and even killing, most. Those they get close to, they feel they must protect. They also find mortals curious and above all, is curious about their absent Hero father.

History

In the wake of the Red Year, Vashir denounced Azura, his faith destroyed by the explosion of Red Mountain. She found a quick solution to her sudden loss of champion, using him one last time by combining part of his essence with hers, creating Zoraii, the Demiprince of Prophetic Dreams. The child lived all their life in Moonshadow, learning from their mother and the other denizens of the plane, including Nerevar Indoril himself. Despite his best attempts to instill good morals into his “godchild”, they still became a manic and eccentric person. Now, they explore Tamriel, doing their mother’s bidding. Their travels brought them to Skyrim and dreams brought them to a farm where Cicero was stuck. They agreed to help him and moved on, having a feeling the encounter was a precursor to something.

Months later, when they slew Grelod the Kind after finding out about her unkindness. They happily joined the Dark Brotherhood when Astrid kidnapped them, despite not willing to ally with Sithis. When Cicero came to the Sanctuary, they were delighted to have met him again and became quick friends, something the other members of the Brotherhood called “a disaster”. In something even they didn’t expect, Zoraii was deemed the Listener by the Night Mother.

They happily did their duty, up until disaster struck; Cicero attempting to murder Astrid. Zoraii went after him but was unwilling to kill their friend, sparing him. Together, they went after the Emperor but, afterward, found they have been betrayed. Upon arrival to the Sanctuary and finding it under attack, Zoraii went on the rampage, shedding their mortal visage and slaughtering the Penitus Oculatus agents within. Despite this, the Dark Brotherhood was no more.

Greiving, they went to fulfill the contract of assassinating the true Emperor and moving the Brotherhood to Dawnstar.Shortly after, the Night Mother contacted them and chastised them on them joining the Dark Brotherhood but not being able to give their soul to the Void. However, she offered a way for them to evade punishment: find a new Listener.

Skills

As a Daedra, Zoraii used a visage to appear mortal. They can shed this visage at any time and even shift to a degree, such gaining more spines and stony skin, lengthening their claws and even sprouting wings.

Zoraii employs their skills in being sneaky and killing cleanly. They have an uncanny ability to disappear, even when being pursued. They wield daggers but will use their claws when it comes down to it.

As the Demiprince of Prophetic Dreams, they often have visions, of things both mundane and important. They can also give others these visions, though they often do not know what they will contain.

Trivia

  • As a Daedra, if they are killed they will reform in their home plane of Oblivion, it being Moonshadow.
  • Despite not actively looking for their father, they are curious about him. All they know is he is a legendary Hero who wields a flaming sword. (Nothing would prepare them to meet the jaded Vashir of the Fourth Era.).
