Averil had a rough and tumble childhood to say the least. Being disowned and abandoned by her parents as a young pup was a difficult start in life, but she was lucky enough to be found by a pair of brutes who took her in and raised her as their own in a small settlement of only grunts/brutes. She grew into a very happy and healthy young Tosk, but due to the settlement having only grunts and brutes, she became a little frightened of common and alpha Toskals, especially Apexes. This made life after her Rite a bit difficult, but somehow she survived her encounters with other Toskals and creatures on her Rite. Eventually she found her way back to her mothers' Tribe and settled there with her parents again to work until she can find a bondmate to explore with.

Childhood (Pre Rite)

A pair of alphas eagerly awaited the arrival of their first pup, but once they were born the pair was...Less than excited, to put it in a nice way. Their first pup was a tiny, brute pup, with large flared ears and a scruffy neck. While her mother insisted on keeping her for a while, she quickly gave in to her mate's idea of abandoning the pup on the outskirts of their Tribe to avoid embarrassment. The little pup they had abandoned was Averil, and it seemed her fate was sealed. That was until a pair of brutes stumbled across the little pup, bundled up in blankets and laying in a basket on the outskirts of the woods that lined the Tribe's land. The brutes were hesitant, assuming this pup was just a misplaced child of some concerned parents somewhere in the Tribe. After an hour or so of waiting with the pup, the pair realized that no one was returning for the tiny newborn, and so they decided to take her in to raise as their own.

The pair of brutes were always honest with Averil as to how they became her parents. She's known since a young age that her biological parents had abandoned her in the woods, but that didn't keep her down for long. Instead she tried to focus on the bright side; Since her biological parents abandoned her she was able to be found and taken care of by new and incredibly loving parents who gave her everything they could. She never had to question whether they loved her or truly cared for her, because she knew that their love was true and endless. As she grew older, the little settlement she was raised in began to train her and the other young Tosks how to survive once they left for their Rites. While she was nervous, the preperations did help her feel much more confident and comfortable with the idea of setting off on her own and being alone for the next few years.
