Algae was one of the queen's top negotiators, climbing the ranks for her entire life. When going to discuss matters with the Mudwings, she overflew and landed deep in the rainforest. Lost and confused, she ran as fast as should could until she twisted her ankle and passed out from exhaustion. That is when she met Citrus, the most handsome dragon she had ever seen. The moment she woke up, Citrus kept complementing her, giving her gifts, and showering her with all sorts of praise. She couldn't help but fall for the guy, and eventually had an egg with him. However once the egg hatched he stopped talking to her. Algae confronted him, asking if he truly loved her. Citrus was confused, as it was around mating season and the hatchery was low on dragonets. Heartbroken at his statement, she left the rainwing kingdom. She hated this feeling of guilt. How she almost left her important position for the Queen for a Rainwing. But she couldn't leave her child behind. Algae wanted her old life back, and she couldn't have it with this hybrid around. In the end she decided it would be best to raise the egg in one of the remote islands. She spent one more montn with her hatched dragonet before returning to her position. Algae told the queen she was captured by some patrolling Skywings before becoming their prisoner. Satisfied with her statement, the Queen allowed Algae her job back, with extra dragons to prevent future capture. However once a month while the kingdom sleeps, she goes to that remote island to check on her hybrid son. She sometimes wishes she could just leave him and never come back, but her stubborness and morality prevents her from doing this. She is currently with a seawing named Krill who is a fellow negotiator. He does not know about her son, Condense.
