Allegiance style description: A lithe, longhaired blue ticked tabby with large ears and green eyes.
Basilcreek is an almost absurdly long cat, with thin limbs and a long tail. Their pelt is a soft grey with darker ticking, especially along their back, with lighter portions on their chest and muzzle. Tall, rounded ears sit atop their head and they have larger paws with Gladeclan’s signature thick claws that make climbing trees a breeze. Their inquisitive green eyes hardly miss a thing. Though they tend to look grumpy, it is usually the opposite - they just don’t yet have the hang of a happy resting face. Bits of leaves and flowers often litter their fur, as they find it gets messy again as soon as they clean it. Fortunately for them and their denmates, they are usually pretty smelling flowers - they make sure that they never smell bad.
Basilcreek is calm, almost to a frightening degree. Very little knocks them off their game, and they quickly recover. They are a valuable asset in emergencies, as they are able to think clearly and distribute tasks without falling into the chaos.
Hardworking
They would gladly be on patrol sun up to sun down, and all night too. Basilcreek truly believes in helping their clan and their clanmates, putting in hour after hour of work with no complaint. Genuinely, they like to keep themselves busy, as it gives their days purpose. It’s hard to find them sitting still!
Observant
Sharp green eyes are quick to hone in on any and every detail, allowing them to quickly assess the situation, whether it’s a battle or an escaping squirrel. Because of this, they can sometimes be deemed a bit nosey, but they like to think it’s just information gathering. They are also prone to oversharing information, as they love to learn and think that others feel the same way.
Experimental
The best way to learn is by doing - and Basilcreek will do anything once! They like to get their paws into anything they can, whether it’s new hunting techniques, different types of prey, or exploring the different herbs in their territory.
Formal
Contractions aren’t a part of their vocabulary; they believe in the full pronunciation of words and speak clearly and concisely. Respect goes a long way in their mind, though it is their default. This can come off as a bit detached and sometimes makes it difficult for them to hold friendships, as platonic feelings don’t come easily to them.
Religious
Basilcreek is a fierce believer in Starclan, despite their silence. They thank their ancestors for each piece of prey they catch, they ask for blessings before every patrol, and send a silent prayer to the stars each night before they rest, asking for safety and peace. They are private about this though and will not hold any other cats’ belief against them.
Blunt
Sometimes, Basilcreek doesn’t always understand nuances and particulates of speech. This may lead to misinterpretation, especially when things aren’t clearly stated or when sarcasm is used. This also means that sometimes their own speech comes off as uncaring, cold, or outright rude, though they rarely mean it as such. They are doing their best to learn, but slip-ups happen.
Melancholic
Though they are calm, it’s partly due to their own emotional state. Basilcreek is prone to feeling down about themselves and the past, though they are trying to be confident in where they and the clans are now. They do their best to keep this side hidden from others, as they know that being sad doesn’t exactly make other cats feel better, but they have days that are worse than others.
Superstitious
Things happen for a reason, and if that reason isn’t inherently obvious, Basilcreek will likely make one up. They have a routine that they stick to and places they prefer to hunt, as there is a sinking feeling in their gut that changing the routine will lead to disaster.
