Coming from an upper-class family in a small coastal city in the north of Alanys, Keran fled to Meidas with his little sister, Femi, to escape political unrest and a threat to his sister's life. After losing Femi, Keran ended up under the thumb of Mara and her loyalists where his knack for magic gained him a good deal of respect despite his foreign roots. While he doesn't agree with what he's a part of, he doesn't have anywhere else to go.

PERSONALITY

Keran has a lot of self-confidence that sometimes tips into the realm of arrogance but it's rarely unwarranted. He's extremely intelligent, has a near-perfect memory, and is very intuitive. He is bold and strong-willed, not really caring about other people's thoughts or opinions. He does experience a degree of awkwardness and discomfort around people which typically manifests as scathing remarks and a slightly condescending tone. He isn't afraid to get confrontational but certain insults and criticism can get to him. Despite his attitude, Keran's quite down to earth and has a soft, sensitive interior that he hides behind his tough act. He is capable of bouts of wisdom in his own harsh, blunt way. He loves receiving affection though he's loathe to admit it. When he trusts and is comfortable with someone, he can be very caring and protective. He has a broken sense of humour and will laugh at absolutely anything even if it's not really funny. He enjoys the lighthearted and chaotic aspects of life.
