Friends with Flo and Deloise

Hortencia recently moved into the area, about the same time Mustaffa returned with his friend Octavio. She feels as if she is more tolerated than liked ... but she will win them all over, eventually. She is a bit of a "mean girl" stereo type, but it is mostly due to trying to keep up appearances. At times, she can come across as nasty or cruel. When confronted about it, she generally apologizes... In her too-smooth, careless way. Her closest friend would be Flo, who also seems to have troubles making friends.

Aside from her secret rendezvous, her favorite times have been spent during the girls nights out. She is most comfortable around only women, but she can turn catty in the blink of an eye. Hortencia is also a very competitive birbbun, whether than means challenging someone to a foot race or prancing about in a new dress.
