He knows what is real and what isn't but there are periods of time, which can last a couple of minutes to a few days, even weeks, where he feels disconnected from the world. When this happens, he tends to get a dazed look in his eyes and usually ends up standing very still staring at nothing. He can be skittish around strangers. The scent and taste of blood makes him feel sick.

history: He lived with his mother, Shattered (Misty), and siblings, Fadheela (Indi) and Unmistakable (Misty), for the first two months of his life, never meeting his father. However, Shattered (Misty) died and the foals were left on their own. The triplets took to living in Diamato Meadow, only venturing off to find mares to feed from. One morning, Dev woke up to the sight of his sister, Unmistakable (Misty), dead. Unknown to him, it was his other sister, Fadheela (Indi), that had killed her. In fact, she didn't realize that it had been her, either.
