Personality: He does his best to stay calm, cool and collected. A curious fellow who knows nothing of the world other than his own, much less the other worlds of the universe he exists within.
Bio: The prince of his home planet whom likely lived a somewhat sheltered life. Life as he knew it all came to an end upon the destruction of his homeworld. 
Somehow or another he ends up on, some other planet, full of all kinds of species of aliens he'd never seen before. And will probably get mixed up in all kinds of misadventures with human and alien companions on his quest to get revenge against the Foe.
Other: A gem was embedded into his chest (unsure if this is genetics of royalty on his planet or some sort of experiment forced on him by the Foe or other unknown entities)
The gem, somewhat like a curse, causes him to transform into a huge monsterous beast when he becomes angry. So he tries to be careful not to get too lost in his anger and rage.
He can shift between humanoid and beast forms at will, but if he gets too angry he could lose himself completely and stay stuck as a huge beast if he's not careful.

As he transforms the hair on his head goes down and around his neck, following his spine and into a tail although it is not depicted in some of these earlier designs.
His teeth grow sharper, and pupils more slitted.
