Yukino Kohara (子腹雪乃, Kohara Yukino) is a member of the Host Club. She works as a treasurer in hopes of earning money for her family.
Appearance
Yukino is a short-girl with shoulder-length caramel hair and turqouise eyes. Unlike the female students of Ouran, she wears the male students' blazer over a black skirt, black stockings and brown shoes.
Personality
Yukino is a sweet, outgoing and joyful yet clumsy and ditzy girl whose motivated by the people she loves. Her empathetic nature lets her willingly help out those in need, though this can be quite harmful to her sometimes. In spite of her kind nature, she struggles with her self-confidence and self-esteem, believing she should be independent as to not burden others, and this leads her to put her feelings last and others' first, which can be detrimental to her health. When in an urgent situation, she is quick to become nervous and easy to panic.

History
Yukino’s mother, Megumi, came from an insanely wealthy family and used to be a student at Lobelia High. The Kadowaki Corporation was known for their stylistic, authentic clothing and merchandise. That was, until she married Shogo Kohara, a commoner.
After their marriage, Shogo slowly grew corrupted by his wife’s wealth and wished to have it all to himself, which began their feud. It worsens when Yukino, their baby daughter was born. Megumi wished that they would live normally and not spoil Yukino, while Shogo insisted that they use her family’s wealth to let their daughter live a good lifestyle.
Suddenly, word is received that Megumi’s family has died in a car crash, with the press and media not knowing that it was all staged by Shogo as part of his plan. He then steals the family fortune and runs away to a foreign country. This caused financial problems for Megumi and her daughter, leaving Megumi to work for three jobs to support herself and her daughter, while Yukino also tried to help her mother make ends meet. She eventually wins a scholarship to Ouran Academy due to her impressive grades.
In Ouran, unable to afford the school’s uniform, she wears a jacket over a yellow skirt similar to that of the girl’s uniform to avoid being caught attention. One day, she is walking through the hallways when she stumbled across a music room. Piqued with curiosity, she opened it, and was greeted by ten men, welcoming her to the Ouran Host Club.
Due to Yukino’s slight fear of men, she was scared of them at first, but they eventually talk her out of it. Days pass by, and Yukino grows to befriend the Host Club, with members consisting of Haruhi Fujioka, Tamaki Suoh, Kyoya Oootori, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin, Takashi “Mori” Morinozuka and Mitsukuni “Honey” Haninozuka. Yukino then tells them about her struggles to help her mom pay for financial bills when she grew more comfortable with them. Tamaki then suggests she works as a treasurer so that she’ll earn money to support herself and her mother.
Yukino then begins to work as a treasurer and later begins to see the Host Club as her brothers (minus Haruhi, whom she revealed that she wont tell anyone about her gender), and also befriending female manager Renge.
