"Hmmm... Me...? I’m Shizen Ranhana... The Ultimate Nature Fanatic... I protect nature... And.... Hmm... I forgot... It is still a pleasure to meet you though..." Appearing seemingly out of nowhere, no one knows how Shizen was scouted by the authorities in Nikko. There’s also nothing about him online, with an exception of his name being thrown around on his school’s website, but despite that, no one can question his title. Shizen Ranhana has amazing knowledge about anything nature related - be it animals or plants, natural disasters or herbal remedies. Yet despite his amazing knowledge about nature, to the point of being called the ‘Ultimate Nature Fanatic’, he’s pretty clueless about things that normal people his age would know inside out, being one of the worst people to meme with or use slang unless explained to him before; and yet, his cluelessness adds to his charm, along with his optimism and a smiling face. Contents [Show / Hide] AppearanceShizen has a a tanned skin, covered in all types of scratches, cuts, scars and burns - as he explains them to be a result of him spending all of his time in the forests surrounding his town where he grew up. Despite him looking intimidating at first, his face emits some sort of aura of positivity and goofines, especially when he smiles. If that wouldn’t be enough of a giveaway that he means no harm, then his small leaf-like ahoge, salad hair and a rose must be the main reason why people think of him as a clueless teenager. His clothing consists of comfortable shorts with pockets for small trinkets and a light blue shirt with a golden sun around his left armpit - ignore the ref where the sun is around his shoulder - and a wave pattern in a darker blue at the bottom. The T-shirt is tied up a bit to show a bit of his - scarred too - stomach. He wears leather boots that reach just a little under his knees, along with a brown guitar case, which has a normal guitar in it; nothing special about it; he also wears a metal ring on his right hand. PersonalityShizen is by no means stupid - but if someone would ask him about something he never heard about, for example a new word like ‘yeet’, even if he would be able to find the answer on the web, he would just bluntly read out what the websites would say about it. Unless that person would teach him how to use it etc etc, he would probably just keep using the set definition from the internet. Additionally, his speech pattern also make him sound clueless, taking a lot of pauses and time before he could form another sentence, even when he’s talking about his talent or what he’s passionate about. If there’s one thing that Shizen is most confident in, it’s his talent. He was always an outside person and since he remembered living in the desolates house in the forest, where he often took walks in, to make sure he wasn’t just stuck inside. Being able to take in new information about the world around him - the forest - and about the plants and animals living in it, caused him to become a literal BFG - Big Forest Giant. Even those who wouldn’t know him personally or at all would know that his touch is as gentle as a 6’4” giant’s touch can be. Wherever it is toward humans, animals, plants or even objects, Shizen is always careful with whatever he’s handling. It is evident by the small garden he was helping to take care of in his school - and near his home - as everything there was being taken care of as if it had emotions of its own. No pests were killed, - just delicately removed and put somewhere else - if a stray animal would decide to come over to feed on the plants, Shizen wouldn’t even rise a finger at them and just give them something better from his bag. Same to humans; he simply refused to be mean to anyone and treat anyone differently; Just looking at his height and built, even an idiot would know to not try to pick a fight with Shizen. A, he would just refuse to fight due to him being a pacifist and B, he would easily defeat anyone that would try to attack him. But despite having such strength, he doesn’t use it just to intimidate people around him - he just uses it to help everyone around him like a good human would. Furthermore, he’s always motivated to learn something new every day, and finish what he has to as soon as he could; Shizen would never intentionally hurt a person, animal or even a plant, and if he would he would just keep apologizing to the said person, animal or plant. Of course, he wouldn’t be afraid to stand in between students if a fight would bound to happen, even interfere by grabbing both of them by their collars and talking to them in his usual, calm, tone in order to try to solve whatever was in between them in a civilized manner. Most students called Shizen a ‘party popper’ by not allowing fights to happen, and merely being him didn’t solve the fights, but his pacifist approach at least ensured that no fights would be happening around him - if that can even be called an achievement.
