Before they were serving their time in the dungeons of a prison in Eastern Lemel, Itzel was serving as an alchemist for the Eastern military. Lending their talents to their alliance in the civil war, their life was filled with passion for magic and creating potions for those who needed them. And those who don't.
Those days are long gone, however. They get further and further every day. Locked away without magic or so much as enough sunlight to cover one stone in the wall, Itzel spends their time reminicing on what once was and longing to return to their home in Arzect.
"Oh, that? That's my poison shelf! Don't breathe too close to it, okay?"
Story [WIP] Growing up in Arzect, Itzel was raised being exposed to the wonders of Izenian magic. It seemed like there was never any limits to what the people around them could do with it. Living in a state of constant inspiration from others, they took up the practice of Alchemy from their Great Aunt. After learning the basics and helping her around her shop from the time they were 10 to their 17th birthday, they gained valuable insight into the methods and experimentation that's involved in the subject. With a passion for magic and an ambition to use their skills for more than making medicine, Itzel pointed their future towards the civil war plaguing the kingdom of Lemel to the West of Arzect.

Trivia
- Their first time visiting Lemel was when they were 10 years old
- They have a knack for making things out of the smallest amounts of ingredients
- They put juniper in their tea, even though it's poisonous
Design Notes
- They're very partial to pink and yellow tones in their clothing, which are usually skirts and loose tops, plus a cloak for travel.
- Although sometimes on particularly damp days their hair can frizz, most of the time it's very straight. They never let it get long enough to dangle down into their work or have bangs that poke them in the eyes. But they also suck at putting their hair in a ponytail or braid to keep it out of the way.
- Their face tends to be very expressive, so if they're quiet about something, others can typically tell how they feel regardless.
Creature

The worst thing to be stuck in prison with. Dwelling in a cell across from Itzel, the Creature wastes no opportunites to disturb them with unnerving propositions and plans of escape. Serving as a constant reminder that they've got a lot of guilt to hide, the Creature is the last thing they'd want to rot away with. Admittedly, though, It is fairly interesting sometimes.
