Rebel was one of those kids that likes to sit at the back of the classroom without a care in the world, tipping her chair back as she blows a bubble from a wad of bubblegum. She was never originally like this though, as she use to follow each and every rule to the letter. Being praised constantly for being a star pupil, she was held to a high standard by her parents and friends. However as time went on, she realized that all the praise didn't mean much to her anymore, and that was all anyone ever thought of her was her 'worth' based on how well she did on tests. Not wanting this kind of pressure, she slunk back into her own mind and became reckless. Eventually a friend of hers noticed how sunken she had become and offered her a listening ear. They went back to her friend's house and chatted all night about her feelings and how difficult things have become for her. After a bit of silence the wind blew through the window and knocked over a baseball cap, sending it straight to the floor in front of the two friends. Her friend told her to keep it as a reminder that it's okay to feel this way and that she should do what makes her happy.
From then on, no longer was she a suit and tie type of Keldine, but instead a rogue Rebel with her classic red baseball cap, a wad of bubblegum and a streak of yellow in her hair. She decided from now on to do what she wanted to do, even if it meant breaking rules or causing a ruckus on the streets. No longer would she stick to the status quo. She decided to set an example for others who may have fallen on the all too familiar path of trying to achieve greatness, to show them things can change.
Every day as she leaves her home, she tosses on her red baseball cap as yet another reminder that she can be happy by being herself.
