After Miya and her escape, they start their little adventure together and go to find their meaning in life. Lorelei (who is Leila from now on) wants to search her father's island to find a new home meanwhile learning about the outside world she was locked away. Soon she realizes on their journey, not everything is so peaceful and welcoming she thought. Leila has to learn how to handle all this new things and accept her kindness won't make a change in this world. Their world becomes more and more mysterious and evil as their way crosses others'. She falls apart when someone close backstabs her and realizes, she won't be safe until her friendly attitude will get in the way....
Lorelei because of the mixed breed, like a genetic defect (which is specific to other mixed breeds) she can't use her fire power (from the nekomata part) but she has the power to heal later. (from the maneki neko part.) To replace the other power, she learns to fight with swords, knives, bow and other weapons which they could get with lots of trying and practicing but in the end, she learns to fight with katana.
She is naive, clumsy woman, who didnt have the oppurtinity to learn things of the real world. She is very friendly and open even though her bad start of her adventure made her shaken. After a while and due to many bad things, make her realize trust is an easily breaking thing. After losing a few of her close friends she becomes anxious and paranoid and her fear makes the group fall apart and someone else will join to her who makes her change...
Relationships
Miyazato Best friend
They're always biting and scolding the other, but they're important to each other. Leila openly shows that how important friend Miyazato is , but Miyazato makes it less obvious and shows it in a hidden way. She is really having fun even with his rude attitude, she enjoys their little rivalry but she really loves Miyazato as her partner in crime and thankful for life she coulld find him. They have a pretty weird bond, and even others question them how they are friends, but they complete each other in a good way.
Baku Best friend
Her giant friend is just as crazy and cheerful as her fun side so she is always happy to spend time with him. They're alike sister and brother. She stops him when for Miyazato he is too much and mostly Baku listens to her. They are the one who figures oout what to do when no one knows what to do.
Kimine Frenemy
They act like friends and Lei wanted to be friends with her, but how Kimine shows that how much she dislikes her when they're alone, she can't help but hate her back because of this. She sees her as a dishonest woman, but in one, she is also jealous whenever she gets too clingy to Miyazato. But can't help, not because of her dislike, but she thinks something is off about Kimine since she joined the group...
Tamoki Relative
Tamoki was her guardian in the mansion and she was the one who helped her to escape. Her bitchy side is annoying for her and Tamoki is always scolding Lei for not acting and being strong as a nekomata. Doesn't count how bossy she is, she sees her as a dear family member.
Emiko Adopted daughter
Lei adores her little daughter and Emiko loves her back and sticks to her. She doesn't know her daughter actually is not that innocent and angel how she sees her hehe.
Marco Friend
They're good friends, while with Baku its fun and funny, with Marco she can just chill and relax and have heartful conversations. Marco at some point start to have a crush on her but Lorelei is clueless haha.
