Simon’s a third year in high school, aiming to go to university abroad. After the death of his older sister 5 years ago, he dedicated himself to studying hard in her place. He wishes she was still there to cheer him on, but he’s still grateful for the friends he’s made since then that have supported him and his goals. Although he's usually working hard with school, he'll always make time for his friends and family.
Simon is one of the top students of his grade, recognized by many teachers in his school. He has a very good reputation and is even the class president for Class 3-A (and has been the class president ever since his first year). While he gets along with almost everyone, he only has a few people he really considers as being close friends.

Story
When he was younger, Simon was more of a timid and shy child. He wasn't very good at socializing and preferred to be around people he knew well. His sister was the one who encouraged him to meet new people and make friends. Through her constant support, Simon grew more confident and eventually developed the social skills he has now. His kind nature makes it easy for him to get along with those around him, although he has met his fair share of people who act like his friend because they want him to tutor them for free. Because of this, he's silently particular about who he calls a friend. "Friend" and "friendly" are two very different things to him.

Simon's sister was also the one who sparked his interest in learning. She would often teach Simon the things she found interesting; she spent time reading to him and visiting places like the zoo, the aquarium and the science center where he could learn in a fun way. She was always able to help him with his work, but their 5 year age gap meant that Simon could only cheer his sister on and encourage her when she was struggling. His sister got busier as she started to reach her third year in high school. Simon knew it was a very important year for her, as she had been working really hard to make sure her grades were good enough to get her into her dream university. Because of this, he spent less time with her, wanting to respect her time and efforts. There reached a point where Simon barely saw her, knowing that she was busy with studying as well as taking extra lessons. Results for university acceptances were starting to roll in, and he was fully prepared to celebrate with his sister for working so hard. But one day, she never came home. And it was on that day, at age 13, that Simon had lost his older sister forever.
It took Simon a while to cope with the loss of his sister; he had so many regrets from that time which he still carries today. He wished he could've noticed the state of her mental health earlier. He wished he had checked up on her more often. He wished that he could've helped her in some day. And most of all, he wished he could've at least said "I love you" one last time.
From then on, Simon decided to work hard to achieve his goals for his sister's sake. Studying reminded him of her, and it made him feel like she was really there next to him, cheering him on. He eventually learned how to play the piano, just like his sister. While his sister may be physically gone, Simon keeps her very close in his heart.
Simon met Chris, Ricky, and Will in his first year at high school, as all four of them sat near each other in class. He naturally started to get to know all three of them and they eventually became his very close friends. Like Chris, he's not in any school club, but that's mainly because he's already busy with Class President responsibilities as well as his freelance tutoring job.

• His design is inspired by strawberries
• He has moderate myopia (nearsightedness) and always keeps a backup pair of glasses at home. He's not fond of contacts, but will wear them if he needs to
• His obsession with cafés can get a little out of hand...

• He keeps two keychains on his backpack: one from his late sister, and one from Amy
• He has his driver's license and uses his parents' car when they're not using it
• His middle name is Alexander, but he doesn't like that part of his name
Relationships
Chris
Chris is Simon's best friend; it was Chris who reached out to him first, and their friendship developed as they continued to spend time together. Although he's not quite as chaotic or rambunctious as Chris, Simon appreciates his positivity and can feel relaxed and open around him.
Ricky
Simon knows Ricky as one of the top students in his grade (much like himself). They admire each other's academic skill, but their friendship flourished as they spent more time together. Simon often invites Ricky to the local cat cafe to study and enjoy each other's company.
Will
While he's not as close to Will as he is with the others, Simon sees him as a cheerful friend who can teach him a lot about the realm of sports. Simon enjoys being with Will and his positive energy. He often tutors Will in math, hoping to get to know him a little more.
Amy
Amy is a good friend to Simon (who is also his crush). He first met her when he went over to Chris' house, but he slowly began developing feelings for her after she entered high school. In any case, he feels honoured that she trusts him when she opens up about her struggles.
