Personality: Barbara is vastly different from her parents - both incredibly invested in partying, mostly on the kid-friendly side - in which she hates kiddie parties. In fact, since the day she was six, she proclaimed her dislike of rambunctious, sticky, loud, awful children. It's in her nature to be overly mature, though it could be postulated that she's overcompensating. Despite her difference from her parents, she loves them deeply and they've never denigrated her for her more serious nature or interest in alcohol (once she was legal, of course).

Backstory: Pinkie supposes she should've seen her little Bourbon Marshmallow S'mores future occupation, given her name and all. Just like with all her children, her name is the most popular dish she created for her bakery-slash-cafe during her pregnancy. From the minute Barbara could talk, she had an advanced vocabulary and a serious, furled brow. When she turned six, she proclaimed her dislike of loud, rambunctious, sticky kids. When she turned eight, she asked to see the cafe's financial doings. When she turned ten, she could do personal and business taxes with her eyes closed. She'd always been far more interested in the background happenings in businesses, asking the local candy shop what their profit margin looked like and the bookstore how much product they moved out annually. Like many children who are too different, she had a difficult time making friends; but her parents were there for her every step of the way. There were many trips to the principal's office after Barbara came home with a bloody nose or bruised legs from the bullies, and many more times where Barbara thought there was no point in telling anybody. She fell into a rather bad depression when she was 14, so Pinkie put her into contact with her aunt Maud who had similar struggles growing up; this helped to a degree but, on Maud's recommendation, Barbara was put into therapy and switched schools where she was able to make friends who understood her. Although Barbara still occasionally suffers from depression and anxiety, she is largely able to healthily deal with it.

Now Barbara is apprenticing in a distillery in hopes of one day running her own. Her mentor is a rather surly and no-nonsense pony named Kuemmerling. Barbara adores her mentor in every way, and her mentor also adores her though they show it in much subtler ways.

Relationships:
Immediate Family
 - Pinkamena Rosa Pie • Mother • Her mother was her primary cheerleader and friend growing up, even helping put her into contact with a distillery when Barbara turned 21. Barbara is definitely a mama's girl.
 - Cheese Sandwich • Father • Much like her mother, her father was there for her every step of the way and was the one to encourage her to go into the alcohol business.
 - Strawberry Licorice Cheesecake • Older Brother • Li'l Cheese was her best friend (and only friend) growing up, the one consistently in her corner and someone she could confide in.
 - Sweet 'n Sour Pancake Medley • Younger Sister • Pancake was Barbara's first little sibling and, as such, she adores him ever since he was born; enjoys his bubbly yet sarcastic nature.
 - Double Decker Dagwood Sandwich • Younger Brother • Barbara enjoyed being an older sister just as much as she did the first time around, though has trouble getting close to him due to the eight year age difference.

Extended Family
- Maud Pie • Aunt • Her secondary cheerleader while growing up, Barbara still often goes to her when she's having a bad bout of depression. Maud's calm and unexcitable energy helped Barbara a lot when she was younger.
