[Personality]

Positive
Cheerful ;; Noticeably happy and optimistic / Scorchflood sees life as full of opportunities - all one needs to do is put in the effort to make the most of them. When good things come her way, she enjoys them without worrying about when it'll come to an end, and when things are looking bad, she chooses not to dwell on the negatives and instead looks to the next good thing that she knows is waiting just around the corner. While she might not be the best at actively cheering others up, an optimistic attitude is pretty infective.

Sharp-eyed ;; Quick to notice things; observant / While Scorchflood is generally very relaxed and rarely on guard, she is watchful. She's unlikely to overlook small changes to an environment or in the way others act. There's no reason for this; it's just the way she is, though her training did help to hone the skill.

Sociable ;; Willing to talk and engage in activities with other people; friendly / Scorchflood enjoys spending her time with others. If a clanmate (or any cat for that matter) wants to hang out, she's usually more than happy to accompany them.
Neutral
Mischievous ;; Causing or showing a fondness for causing trouble in a playful way / Scorchflood is incredibly playful for a warrior, though simple games of moss ball aren't enough to keep her entertained. She loves the challenge of trying to fool or outsmart others. This is usually within the context of actual games or competitions, like a race or something similar. Still, it isn't uncommon to find oneself having to watch for any tricks Scorchflood might pull.

Daring ;; (of a person or action) adventurous or audaciously bold / Scorchflood isn't one to back down when hardships or challenges come her way. She often goes out of her way to go down the more demanding path whenever possible, as she likes to 'test' herself. Scorchflood believes that 'nothing worth having comes easy', which she also takes to mean as the harder you work for something, the more worth it has.

Industrious ;; Diligent and hard-working / When helping out with her daily duties she tends to work harder than she needs to, often tiring herself out in the process. Her main drive is so she can 'earn' the support of her clanmates. Scorchflood doesn't want anything she has just being handed to her. She hates the feeling of receiving something she doesn't derserve or being indebted to others. While good for the clan as a whole, this can have a negative effect on her personal relationships.
Negative
Cocky ;; Conceited or confident in a bold or cheeky way / Scorchflood's outward confidence is a sort of mask for her insecurity. This isn't to say that she doesn't have an inflated sense of self - she definitely believes that she's important and that the world would be worse off without her. Scorchflood likes to show off what she's good at to prove to herself and others that she'd better than them. It also helps to ward off those pesky feelings that she's not good enough in other areas...

Selfish ;; (of a person, action, or motive) lacking consideration for other people; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure / Due in part to her upbringing, Scorchflood sees herself as the most important person in her life. She is not fond of sacrificing her own comfort for the sake of others at all. The only reason she'll do something that might look selfless is if the consequenses of acting selfishly outweigh the benefits. Like being kicked out of the clan when compared to hunting for another clanmate, for example.

Slippery ;; (of a person) evasive and unpredictable; not to be relied on / Scorchflood doesn't like to be held at anyone's mercy. Promises and obligations are like snares in this she-cat's mind; they are things that bind her to someone else's will. If she were to give her word, you wouldn't be able to hold her to it.
Hidden
Insecure ;; (of a person) uncertain or anxious about oneself; not confident / When other cats get more attention than her, or are better than her at something (which she also considers herself to be good at) Name tends to feel overlooked. She wants other cats to see her as important and is unconfortable with the thought of being unwanted / not needed by them.

Cunning ;; Having or showing skill in achieving one's ends by deceit or evasion / Scorchflood likes having things her way, and she's not afraid of using 'underhanded' tactics to get that. She would happily lie to get out of reparing dens or sneak away from a border patrol because she wants to swim instead.

[History]

Kithood [0 - 6 Moons]
Scorchkit was born as leaf-fall was coming to an end, though, surprisingly the colder days didn't cause her parents to worry. Herronfin and Silverpike already had three adult children who had been born in the depths of leaf-bare. This time they only had one kit to look after, so there was little to be concerned about.
During her early days, Scorchkit got a lot of attention. Being the only kit in her litter, and having three older siblings around meant that she always had company. She spent many these days playing with them and the other kits and apprentices.
As she grew older and even more active, she began exploring wherever she could. She would often leave the nursery without permission and even got out of the camp once, though she didn't get far. After the trouble she landed her self in, one might have expected some positive change in her attitude, but it only seemed to make her more daring. She never left the camp like that again (she was watched too closely for that) but she did manage to sneak into other parts of the camp. She was promptly stopped after managing to hide crowfood in a elder's nest with threats of having her apprenticeship delayed.
Scorchkit seemed to mellow out in the last moon of her kithood. She stopped sneaking off and started spending more time 'honing' her swimming skills. This often resulted in nearby kits being dragged into the water with her. This brought about many complaints about her from other kits, but her parents were willing to overlook that since she took so well to being in the water.
Apprenticeship [6 - 12 Moons]
'I'm perfect the way I am'
Scorchkit was renamed Scorchpaw, as was traditional for apprentices, and as her change of heart didn't seem very sincere, she was given Brightstone as her mentor. This warrior, though usually mild, would not tolerate bad behaviour. Scorchpaw learned that quickly, but instead of changing her attitude, she worked to find ways around the punishments she received. She began with lying to warriors about what she'd been asked to do, but when that started failing, she resorted to sneaking out to avoid tick duty. After being confined to the camp a few times, her mentor was set on having her apprenticeship extended until she straightened out and 'stopped acting like a brainless Thunderclanner!'
Their dissagreements became more frequent and those dissagreements soon became full blown arguments. They almost came to blows one time - another warrior was there to calm things down before it got too bad - and both cats were punished. They were made to do the punishment activities together with a warrior watching over them. These time were incredibly tense at first, but Brightstone slowly made an effort to try and mend things between them.
Scorchpaw... improved after that, though many were left to wonder if this was just a repeat of her kithood. Watching how the two started to get along said that maybe she really had turned over a new leaf. They still had their dissagreements (at the end of the day, Brightstone was a stern cat and Scorchpaw just didn't like that) but they no longer seemed to hate each other's company.
Scorchpaw had been horrible with punishments, but she rarely slacked with her usual duties. Though filled with arguments, she had learned a lot from her training sessions and she would never be found relaxing until she'd 'earned' her rest for the day. She kept up with her duties and training well enough because of her hard work. So, despite the trouble she'd caused when she was younger, when the time came for her to recieve her warrior name, she wasn't held back in the end.
Warriorhood [12+ Moons]
Scorchpaw was given the name Scorchflood for her swimming great ability. Now that she and Brightstone were out of each other's fur, the young warrior seemed to calm down quite a bit. She got on with her duties, working as hard as she had before, but now she had no one to put her on tick duty. The tortoiseshell enjoyed her new freedom and settled comfortably into the life of a warrior.
She got to avoid the first battle over Sunningrocks, but was unfortunate enough to be dragged into the second one. Scorchflood hated it. Who cared about a few stones? Sure, the rocks were pretty nice to sun on, but why would anyone want to shed blood over them? She kept her thoughts to herself, as she had the last time, not wanting others to question her loyalty. Her lack of loyalty to the clan had never been a problem before then. All she'd needed to do was patrol the borders and pretend to care, but this time she was expected to fight. She only fought hard because failing to do so could have ended with her getting really bad injuries or questions from her clanmates.
In the moons following the fighting, Scorchflood was more careful around Thunderclan's borders. She had never cared much about whether she or anyone else crossed before then. She still didn't truly care. The she-cat was only worried about starting fights she had no interest in.
