ShortCake

ShortCake was born into a rather large family in South Aami known as the Sweet Family. His family had ran a baker for many generations, mainly making tarts and breads when certain crops are in season. Occasionally a few members of the family would travel to Altan to purchase special ingredients to make several sweets for upcoming holidays and celebrations. ShortCake was born the last kit from his parents. He was the youngest of seven kits, and was constantly causing trouble for his older siblings. There was a rather large age gap between the kits, and ShortCakes parents had become a little hands off once they inherited the bakery from his grandparents. Being the youngest he was always getting into some sort of trouble to keep himself entertained.

ShortCake was about two years old when his family adopted a strange kit. At first ShortCake didn't pay much mind to him and stuck to his own toys. He would occasionally laugh at the kit, known as Riley, when he'd trip on his rather large ears, or when his odd tail would seem to move of its own will. Soon the two grew rather close and could be found glued to each others sides. The two would steal snacks from the bakery, or pull pranks on vespers in the clan. They enjoyed running around on celebrations covered in sugar and what not that they could get their little paws on. ShortCake was definately the more outspoken and more energetic of the two. He was constantly pulling Riley along on adventures and convicning him to let his tail cause a little bit of chaos to entertain them. The two could almost pass as siblings if it weren'r for Rileys different colouring from the Sweet family, but also his distinct Acantha markings. Nonetheless, ShortCake considered Riley his sibling through and through.

Once ShortCake reached early adulthood, his siblings ran most of the bakery while his parents softly retired. ShortCake found a love of crafting new sweets. He was constantly making treats specially for celebrations and holidays. Riley was as into baking like he was, but ShortCake would take him out on trips to Altan to gather ingredients when he could. ShortCake can recall the nightmares that affected his brother growing up and understand his current sleeping issues. He often likes to let Riley sleep in the bakery while he bakes bread for the next night. He finds the smell and warmth comforting and hopes to share it with Riley. As the youngest of the Sweets ShortCake is not expecting to inherit the bakery, but does plan to work in it as long as he clan. He hopes to be able to open a branch in another clan, but is waiting on the approval and help of his siblings.
