his stomach holds medical supplies as my idea is that they were made to test human endurance under extreme stress. the black smog actually being a hallucinogenic gas that causes people to see dead loved ones. it comes out of the vents on his sides. the only issue is that (like most things in aperture testing) is that too much of the gas can have deadly side effects and even cause death
