Kuroko Nekoma"There is always a way out. Use what you have diversely."
Kuroko Nekoma (黒子猫又, Nekoma Kuroko) is the heir to the Nekoma clan (an unaligned clan) and a shinobi of Konohagakure. Due to his features, he was an outcast of his clan. With Kuroko’s determination to become strong, they moved to Konoha and Kuroko enrolled in the academy. Kuroko was assigned as an apprentice under Arata Kuronuma (嵐巧黒澤, Kuronuma Arata) a sealing specialist Jounin. BackgroundKuroko is the only son of Hana and Jun Nekoma; they named him after Kuro, a summons that died to save his life in honour of the sacrifice. Kuroko grew up in the confines of his home after being shunned by the rest of his clan. Within his home, Kuroko grew tired and wanted to go outside again. Upon learning that he was held inside for his safety, he declared that he would become strong enough to protect himself. Being trained by his father, they moved to Konoha and Kuroko enrolled in the academy at age 8.
From the academy on, Kuroko’s family took a downturn when Jun was called back to his position after his brother failed. Kuroko was left with Hana in Konoha, who’s mental state turned to a downward spiral. Hana abused Kuroko who looked like his father which abandoned them. Kuroko chose to wear his mask all the time and cover as much as himself as possible to hide how he looked. By his third year in the academy, Kuroko lived mainly on the streets due to his mother’s abuse. Kuroko graduated the academy at the age of 13 and was assigned as an apprentice under Arata Kuronuma (嵐巧 黒澤, Kuronuma Arata) a sealing specialist Jounin. PersonalityKuroko is a quiet, shy and timid boy who hides himself from the world. He is extremely introverted and self conscious, imaginative, open minded and curious. Kuroko is empathetic and not very competitive. Kuroko is an introverted boy who prefers to hide himself from the world. He is quiet, and shy—not the type of person so chit chat and make small talk with a stranger. Though, as he is a kind boy, if someone started talking to him, he would listen and politely respond despite his anxiety. He is a very anxious individual, always worrying if he’s done something to upset anyone, and jumpy to surprises. He dislikes physical contact unless he explicitly trusts someone—which is few and far between. Kuroko doesn’t trust easily due to his past experiences. As he grew close to Shikamaru, Kuroko started to open up, showing a mischievous side of himself on occasion. Kuroko is a hard worker, and when he hits a wall in his training, he thinks of unorthodox ways of pushing past it. He sometimes finds himself so absorbed in a task that, before he knows it, hours have passed. He isn’t completely confident in himself, but he has a perfectionist streak. AppearanceKuroko has medium length black curly hair that ends part way down his neck. His curls vary from tighter curls to loose waves depending on the length of time between washes. His eyes are a vivid cyan and his skin is a medium-light skin tone that could be darker, but his layering of clothing keeps him from tanning. He has a multitude of scars of varying sizes on his body, but his most notable ones were on his face and neck. He has a horizontal scar on his neck, as if his throat was slit, and a vertical scar on the left of his jaw that ended at the corner of his mouth. Kuroko always wears clothes that cover his whole body, and even with that he wears bandages to cover his scars. He wears a white mask that has the ability to hide his appendaged from sight, and usually wears a scarf with it, or a sweater with a hood.His favourite piece of clothing that he wears most of the time is his poncho, which was replaced after it got worn down. AbilitiesNinjutsuKuroko’s nature transformations are Earth and Yin release. Kuroko has difficulty with changing his chakra’s nature, so learning any other nature transformations will be extremely difficult. Kuroko has an easier time changing the shape of his chakra and controlling his spiritual chakra. Kuroko is proficient enough in fuinjutsu to make his own storage scrolls. TaijutsuKuroko utilizes the Cat’s Grace (猫雅) taijutsu style taught in his family. The style prioritises evasion and defence, and swift strikes that knock the foe off balance. It is recognizable from the user's closed, high, back-weighted or unweighted stance. This style is suited to those who are swift, flexible and have fast reflexes. Kuroko uses this style with knives to make up for his pitiful strength. GenjutsuKuroko has a natural aptitude to genjutsu with his natural control over spiritual chakra. He can layer a shadow on a regular clone to make it appear real. With more difficulty, a sound layer could be added if he has more time to create it. At the moment, he can only layer a genjutsu up to three times. He is currently working on physical sensations, such as the feeling of a breeze, or pain. IntelligenceWhile not highly book smart, Kuroko’s intelligence stems from his high spatial intelligence, and abstract reasoning which explains his flexible thinking, creativity, judgment, and logical problem solving. He utilizes his intelligence in combat by effectively using his environment to his advantage. Kuroko relies on tricking and misleading his opponents and luring them into traps. Kuroko is a strong kinesthetic and visual learner, using his imagination and repetition to learn information and techniques. His memorization is lacking, however.
