Desiree

Desiree is a sassy but fun-loving squid with a very soft heart despite her harsh and straightforward, down-to-earth attitude. She comes from a family of very studious squids who had the intention of making her become another academic slave. For most of her life, Desiree only knew books and pencils, but after getting the chance to experience a Squid Sisters Concert, she decided it was time to free herself and ran off on her own to Inkopolis.

Her intentions had been to pursue a career as an idol, but realizing it wasn't so easy, she took it to turf to make a living. After some generous squids taught her the ropes, Desiree practiced hard to later become a decent player. Her mains consisted of Squelchers.

During her time in Inkopolis, she bumped into a suspicious figure that had been sneaking out of the potholes in the Plaza, surprisingly enough it was a very frightened and injured octoling girl. Unsure of what to do, but confident that she couldn't just leave her there to be taken away for whatever suspicious things those agents possibly do to her species, Desiree decided to take her home. The octoling had no name and no idea what they wanted to do other than to be free, and with that, Desiree named her new friend Humilia.

Overtime Octolings became more accepted and were even seen participating in the turf, that's when Desiree brought Humilia out of hiding and had her take part in many of the things inklings do on a daily basis. From her passion of karaoke to turf wars and ranked, Humilia proved to be just as talented as Desiree and the two became the Sweet & Sour duo of League battles.

After the debut of Off the Hook and their growing popularity, the Sweet & Sour duo decided to move closer to Inkopolis Square and followed along with the popular trends. They work together to make it into the high ranks and create some popularity on karaoke nights. Desiree loves Humilia very much.
