Nalukea

Nalukea can be called a cocky bastard who steals not only the hearts of the fair ladies by the shore but also your pocket money. She's able to charm herself into anyone and make her sound friendly and totally trustworthy.

Though she does have this persona of a player, Nalukea is terrified of rejections and values others opinions a bit too much. She's a people pleaser, which would sometimes lead her to becoming someone she is not just to make sure the other person is happy.

When dealing with genuine emotions from others, Nalukea gets flustered and has no idea how to react as she's so used to lying about herself. Being vulnerable is her biggest fear and something she's trying to overcome.

Nalukea is one of the few dainties born and raised in the island of Santa La Ria. She didn't come from some well off family, so she had to take from others for what she needs. Opportunity arises when she was given the chance to be a sailor with promises of enough wealth to keep her and her family afloat. Not wanting to pass up the chance, she took the job and had to endure harsh sea life and the mockery of her fellow crew.

It was fine for her, she could handle what they dish out and she's not the kind to take it up so easily. She would retaliate back with even viscious words and though it did kept the mockery at bay, she did not realise the betrayal would soon receive. Nalukea was the captain's favourite due to her diligence and mayhaps pickpocketing skills. When an unfortunate incident befalls onto the captain, the crew pinned the blame onto her and left her alone on an island with nothing but little spare food. During this time, she met Iulio, her friend and host, and discovered hidden treasures that lie deep down in an underwater cave nearby. With the help of her friend, she was able to escape isolation and return home.

Nalukea had told her tale of her betrayal of her crewmates and Iulio, with a smile on his face, told her that he would deal with such fiends. She never asked whhat he meant by that, fear of whatever power the siren held, but she was grateful for their help nonetheless. She returned home, sharing her treasures with her family and keeping them safe and well fed throughout the years. Nalukea also leaves behind an offering everyday by the shore, her way of saying thanks to the siren who has helped her through tough times.
