Ren Kimura

OVERVIEW.

Ren is a hard-hitting girl, who'd rather be "one of the guys", in fact she is often mistaken for a man and she doesn't correct them either. She's the type to pretend to not care, find hilarity in offensive humor(and people getting hurt) but deep down she was very soft. A kunoichi with a strong will and endless determination.

HISTORY.

In the Kimura clan there is a strict tradition or set of rules: Males are valued as ninja and women are caretakers, shop owners, craftsmen and chefs. Kunoichi were heavily frowned upon and strictly prohibited within the clan. Ren rebelled, she wanted nothing to do with staying at home and cooking like her mother. Both of her parents supported her endeavors and helped her get into the Konohagakure Ninja Academy, she did her training and education there. She composed and dressed like a boy and for the most part successfully passed as one(Only Kiyoshi knew). She was despised by her clan peers, her family virtually outcased, they however refused to give up on their daughter and her dreams.

All ninja that have proven their worth are selected to potentially be chosen to weild one of three weapons that have been handed down generations within the clan. Each weapon is unique and has three different ways to use them. Not all ninja can weild these weapons, almost having a mind of their own, essentially they choose who can hold them. None of the ninja in the clan could take hold of one particular weapon, called the Kama no Karitori (鎌の刈り取り), that was when Ren stepped forward and despite all odds and tradition was able to weild it. Clan leaders however were not as proud, while Ren wasn't banished, she was virtually ridiculed out of the clan.

She became a genin at the age of 13 and was assigned to her team: Daisuke and Kiyoshi, her teacher Noriko. She grew up to be a unique individual and highly skilled in using her weapon.

PRESENT.

 Now a Jonin she works as a part of the ANBU. Her parents moved outside the clans district and continue to support their daughter.

WEAPON.

Kama no Karitori (鎌の刈り取り) is a special weapon that can only be weilded by one person in the Kimura clan and will be with them for thier shinobi life. The weapon "chooses" a weilder, someone it deems worthy of its power. The weapon has three usages: Double edge scythe, sickle and chain and two kama. The eyes open to absorb some of the users chakra to enhance its usage (the chain will grow longer, the blades will grow longer).
