Rio was born into a family with only grey/dull fur coats until he was born with their bright red coat. He was constantly spoiled and praised for every basic thing he did because of their fur. Rio and his family have a deep connection with harpips that go back centuries; managing to convince a harpip to give them a gift. They constantly try to meet up to their families expectations of them and balancing out what they want to do.
