Beauregard

Typically a bit quiet, Beauregard isn't one to speak openly unless spoken to, though they're noted to be one of the more adamant and braver members of their team of hunters. They are very stoic and respectful of others, though also withhold the pride most centaurs have, considered regal and elegant by their own peers. When spoken to they are charismatic and charming despite their typically flat tone of voice and are capable of a good sense of humour if around their peers. Beauregard is kind to the beings they live around in the woods, considering themselves one with the space, and thus tends to bond easier with what can be considered "hostile" beings. They are incredibly intelligent and are not one to be trifled with considering their speed and wit.

Early Life

Born into a group of centaurs, Beauregard was raised from birth to hunt for their group and worked their hardest to fufill that alongside their sibling, Sabine. The two were considerably competitive as young teenagers and due to it would often get into trouble with their superiors, though they never took the scoldings to heart, or, well, at least until the day that their reckless behaviour caught up to them. A race held in an unexplored part of the woodland Beauregard's group lived in resulted in Sabine losing her footing near an unseen cliff ledge and toppling over to her death, and Beauregard was blamed for it, their group shunning them for their recklessness at 16 years of age.

Due to that, Beauregard ran away soon after from their own grief and shame, resulting in them stumbling into and living within Highwater's forest for two years on their own, hunting for the village and making a new name for themself. They recently applied to join the royal guard, mostly wanting to have a fresh start, though in their down time they still hunt for the village's butchers.
